Guardian Angels

Psalm 91:10-12 (NKJV)
No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
For He shall give His angels charge over you,
To keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.

God's Not Ignoring You

1 Chronicles 28:20 (NKJV) David said to his son Solomon, "Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God - my God - will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you (never, no never), until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD."

Setting Priorities

Get out of Martha's kitchen.

Martha was the hostess with the mostest. She knew how to put on a feast and hook it up exactly right. Jesus and the disciples came to her house for dinner, and she was doing what Martha does best.

Undistracted by all the busywork going on in the kitchen, Martha’s sister Mary went and sat down at the feet of Jesus to listen to what He was teaching. Martha came to Jesus and said, “Lord, don’t You care that Mary has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me.” Jesus gently answered her, “Martha Martha, you are worried and troubled by many distractions, but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen devotion and it will not be taken away from her.”

Some years back, my mother and I had a conversation about Mary and Martha. I defended Mary’s devotion and my mother who is the perfect likeness to Martha, of course defended Martha’s busywork. She said, “Well… somebody had to do the cooking.” I had no come back to that. She was right.

I went home that day and got on my knees to speak with the Lord about it. I said, “Jesus, my mama said, ‘Somebody had to do the cooking.’” Jesus answered me back and said, “I would’ve just eaten figs.”

Luke 10:42 NKJV One thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.

Detail-Oriented God

God cares about every detail of our lives.
Even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
That's how detail-oriented God is.

My Blogpost About the Sink Strainer

Luke 12:6-7 (NKJV) Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Our Sacrifice

 ❤ Verse of the Day

Matt. 16:24-25 (Weymouth New Testament)

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If any one desires to follow Me, let him renounce self and take up his cross, and so be My follower. For whoever desires to save his life shall lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it."

Praise the Lord!

Psalm 150 (NKJV)

Praise the LORD!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp!
Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD!

The Right Path (2)

Verse of the Day ๐ŸŽต Psalm 25:8-10, 4-5 (KJV)
Good and upright is the Lord therefore will teach sinners in the way. The meek will He guide in judgement the meek will He teach His way. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenants and His testimonies. Show me Thy ways O Lord and teach me Thy paths lead me in Thy truth and teach me for Thou art the God of my salvation and on Thee do I wait all the day.

The Right Path (1)

Verse of the Day ๐Ÿ’œ Proverbs 4:14-15 (NKJV)
Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil. Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn away from it and pass on.

THE BREAKUP

One day (a long time ago), I up and decided to break up with the Lord, since it seemed that He and I could not see eye to eye. I went down on my knees to say my last good-bye-it's-been-nice-knowing-You-Lord prayer. When I got up to walk away, I took two steps and collapsed onto the floor in a heap of tears and wailing as never before seen. I couldn't do it! No matter how offended I was, I could not just walk away from my Lord. The issues He and I wrestled over has long since been resolved, and I'm confident in my eternal salvation... and His ability to heal me everywhere I am hurting.

Verse of the Day ๐Ÿ’š John 10:28-29 (NKJV)

I give them (My sheep) eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand (not even myself).

I'm reminded of a song that says: "I don't wanna walk away - walk away from Him - bind me to Your side Lord." ๐ŸŽถ

Running With Endurance

The Finish Line

Verse of the Day (1) ๐Ÿ’œ Heb. 12:1-2
Let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Verse of the Day (2) ๐Ÿ’š 1 Cor. 9:24
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run,
but one receives the prize?
Run in such a way that you may obtain it.

You Were Chosen

Verse of the Day ๐ŸŒณ John 15:16 (NKJV)

You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.

You were chosen on purpose, with a purpose. No accident.

Thirsty for God

Verse of the Day ๐ŸŒป Psalm 42:1-2 (NKJV)

As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God.
