| Our Eternal High Priest |
As High Priest, Christ is the advocate, intercessor, and
mediator between us and God. There are not many roads to God. Jesus is the one
and only, singular way to the everlasting Father.
- There is one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. (1 Tim. 2:5)
- He entered into heaven, into the presence of God for us. (Heb. 9:24)
- He makes intercession for us. (Rom. 8:34)
- He always lives to make intercession for us. (Heb. 7:25)
As descendants of Adam, we are born separated from God… born sinners, shaped in iniquity. Jesus is our Redeemer that came to deliver us of this deadly problem. He bridged the gap that existed between mankind and God. He always lives to make intercession for us, and is in the presence of the everlasting Father at this very moment, sticking up for us. With Christ on our side, advocating for us, how can we lose? Out of love, He put everything on the line for us exposing Himself to severe torment so that we could be set free. So then, is there anything else He wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us?
Romans 8:32 (NKJV) He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Matthew 7:11 (NKJV) If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
